Standard & Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'BBB-' long-term issue rating to a proposed benchmark size US dollar denominated senior unsecured notes by Bharti Airtel International (Netherlands) B.V. Bharti Airtel (Bharti; BBB-/Stable/--), which indirectly wholly owns Bharti Airtel International, will irrevocably guarantee the notes.
The issue rating is subject to our review of the final issue documentation.
Bharti expects to primarily use the proceeds of the proposed notes to refinance a part of its foreign currency debt.
Shares of the company gained Rs 6.55, or 2.11%, to trade at Rs 316.60. The total volume of shares traded was 76,121 at the BSE (10.16 a.m., Monday).
